Reconciliation Week is an important time on our school calendar.
This year it commemorates 20 years of the Reconciliation Walks, when people come together to show their support for a more equitable, just and reconciled nation. The theme for 2020 is ‘In This Together’.
Throughout this week at school, classes have delved into the histories and cultures that make our country unique. Classes talked about Reconciliation, including what it means, why it is important and our role in the future.
One of our whole-school activities for Reconciliation Week 2020 has been to create a sea of hands along with the Aboriginal Flag on our school gates as our way to symbolise our commitment and to acknowledge that we are all in this together.
